Flourless chocolate cake 無麵粉的巧克力蛋糕

I have been so busy recently. Working on writing a paper, planning my wedding and reading about mortgage and tax laws. Oh, and I am also planning the honeymoon. Life is just keep moving forward with many many new challenges. It is exciting, but scary in the same time.


My dear colleague LV brought this cake to work last week and I enjoyed it very much. I then go home looked up the recipe she used (from Smitten Kitchen's cookbook) and modified a little. The cake she made was delicious, but I found it to be a bit on the sweeter side for me. So I added less sugar and butter (of course) and use uncheck much darker chocolate combo. I loved the result and brought the whole cake to RCSIII so that we can have it together ( to celebrate my birthday).

He also made me really good steak at home with a side of mushroom, onion and peppers. We opened a bottle of good Cabernet and constructed a nice and yummy cheese plate with four types of cheese (no blue cheese, thanks). It was a wonderful birthday weekend.

Oh, did I mention he got me this? I guess I'll be making some pasta with him soon!

Now, I feel that I am ready to tackle more tasks again until my next weekend with him.
